Cost Implications

Typical architectural costs tend to run 10%-15% of project costs. Depending on the size and complexity of the project, we can often keep design fees lower than this.  For small projects like kitchens and baths, we will often propose a flat design fee.

From the construction end, we work hard with our clients to develop their budgets very early in the project. We start estimating in early schematic design so as to manage the design to fit within the budget. Unlike the traditional bid process, there are no cost surprises at the end of design/beginning of construction.  Because we are able to streamline our decision making process, more of the budget goes towards “sticks and bricks” rather than administration.
